Specific Software
Solutions, LLC has an Insurance Software Support Analyst position available for
someone who has high technical competence, excellent communication and
interpersonal skills, and the interest and ability to learn about
workers compensation insurance and other aspects of risk management.
We seek a person who is able to fill a multifunction role that includes:
Being part of our customer support team. The ideal candidate will be
comfortable in installing and using common Windows-based software
products and will develop a complete understanding of our software
products (see
http://www.specificsoftware.com/products.htm) in order to provide
support for both usage and technical questions.
Developing and delivering training materials about our software products.
You will lead training sessions for existing or potential clients to
demonstrate our products via
web-based meeting software. You should be able to develop training
materials using appropriate tools and be comfortable presenting this material to
insurance producers and other insurance and risk management
professionals.
Assisting other
staff on special projects. You will support the
CEO and other staff on projects relating to sales, marketing, or new
product development.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and two to five years
experience in a technical support or insurance-related role, although we will also consider
recent college graduates. Candidates should also have:

Strong technology
skills with common software products such as Word, Excel, Access and
PowerPoint. Experience with Camtasia a plus; programming experience
a plus.

Strong written
communication skills - publication experience a plus.

Experience with web
site design and/or content management systems.

Academic coursework
in any or all of the following: management information systems,
computer science, marketing, mathematics, finance, insurance.

Academic and
employment history that demonstrates a commitment to quality work.

Prior experience with
workers compensation or other property/casualty insurance is a plus.
In this position, you must embrace a
“Jack of all trades” mentality as it applies to technical functions,
customer service, and, on a less frequent basis, fixing the fax machine
or sorting the mail.
