For over 15 years,
Sally has been in the actuarial profession in a variety of
roles. Her experience includes financial management with HCII
(Healthcare Indemnity, Inc.), a wholly owned subsidiary
insurance company of HCA-The Healthcare Company, with emphasis on
actuarial project management for hospital and physician
professional liability and workers compensation.
Sally's pecific experience with HCA
includes booking balance sheet reserves, exposure tracking,
Medicare cost reporting, price differentiation among various
types of healthcare groups (home health, physician practices,
surgery centers, clinics), due diligence for acquisitions,
mergers, and divestitures, experience modification and
allocations, loss portfolio transfers, database design,
automating invoices to facilities via the Internet, and
presenting experience modification techniques annually at HCA’s
National Risk Management Conference to over 100 CEO’s, CFO’s,
and Risk Managers.
Prior to her
tenure with HCA, Sally completed actuarial projections, reserve
analyses, and confidence interval analyses with Willis, a major
insurance brokerage firm. Her niche was working with public
entities of all sizes and types.
Sally's professional
designations include the Associate of Risk Management and
significant progress toward the Associate of the Casualty Actuarial
Society and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.
