As a founder of
SIGMA Actuarial Consulting Group, Al Rhodes directs the company in
providing casualty actuarial consulting services to risk managers,
brokers, risk management consultants, TPAs and CPAs. With twenty
years in the actuarial profession, Al assures that SIGMA's
consulting services include all analyses necessary for proper
financial reporting and program funding.
Al is an
Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the
American Academy of Actuaries. His background includes experience
in the process of developing both traditional and alternative
insurance programs for entities of all sizes and types.
Al has been actively
involved with numerous professional activities over the years and is
a past president of the Casualty Actuaries of the Southeast. He has
also made presentations at RIMS, the Business Insurance Workers
Compensation Conference, National Underwriter's Consultative
Brokerage Summit and at the annual meeting of the Society of Risk
Management Consultants.

Prior to founding
SIGMA, Al was employed by Tillinghast and Willis Corroon.
His specialization at Tillinghast included consulting in the areas of
medical malpractice and workers compensation. As an Assistant Vice
President in Willis Corroon’s actuarial department, Al was the head
actuary for clients as diverse as PepsiCo, Brinks and Ringling
Brothers. He graduated cum laude and with honors (B.S. Genetics)
from the University of Georgia.
