With a long tenure at Specific Software and SIGMA that began in
software development,
Kory oversees communications and marketing for the companies. She is
a major contributor to the companies' web presence, popular training
and educational materials, and WorkCompEdge subscription content.
She's also editor of the award-winning
WorkCompEdge blog. Once the principal programmer of ModMaster,
Kory also continues to guide the development and maintenance of
Specific Software's product offerings.
Her work in the insurance industry includes several years as an
online systems specialist for Citicorp Insurance Services, and she
also was a mainframe systems programmer at Arnold Air Force
Base. Because her lengthy background in computing includes large
systems experience, she has a unique blend of experience and
sensitivity to such important issues as security, quality control,
testing, and change control. Her experience as a small business
owner providing custom database programming further impressed upon
her the importance of prompt and courteous customer service.
Kory is a summa cum laude graduate with a B.S. in computer
science and an M.S. in industrial studies from Middle Tennessee
State University. A writer of poetry and prose in her spare time,
Kory regularly publishes in literary magazines and was lauded by
Ladies Home Journal for her lead essay in the book She's Such
a Geek. |
