Tutorial
The Deductible Analyzer assists you in determining what
the mod would have been if a deductible was applied to losses in your
calculation.
This analysis is ONLY appropriate in net reporting states. These are states that report losses net of the deductible.
This
analysis is particularly useful in helping you assess whether to apply a
deductible program in a net reporting state by providing you with a
historical perspective on the impact of such a program.
When using the Deductible Analyzer, it is important to note that the software assumes all losses entered into the small loss screen are below the deductible and therefore ignored. The itemized or large losses are reduced by the amount of the deductible.
When
you enter the Deductible Analyzer page, 10 deductible values are preset.
You can modify these values if desired, then click the link labeled
"view the deductible analysis." You will be prompted to continue
with the calculation.
When
the calculation is complete, the total losses, mod factor, and unlimited
mod are shown for each deductible value.
