 Here's the File You Need

This file is only for a standalone PC installation, not a client/server or other networked version.

MMPCInstall.exe  (approx. 16 MB)

Installation steps:

  1. Get the install file from our website.

Click on the file MMPCInstall.exe . If you are on a high-speed Internet connection, we recommend that you  choose to "Open" or "Run" the file directly from our web server. If you are on a slow connection or have problems with running directly, choose the "Save" option.

If you choose the save option, we recommend that you save the file to your own PC, not to a network destination. Most users find it convenient to save to their desktop.

  2. Run the install.

If you saved the file on your PC, you will need to find it on your desktop or other folder and double-click it to start the installation. If you are running the file from our web server, the installation will start automatically.

  3. Enter password and verify the installation path.

When prompted, enter the install password which you received from us in an email. Please review our email recommendations if you're not getting emails from us.

If ModMaster 2000 is already installed on this PC, the installation directory will likely be c:\mm2000, but override as necessary to indicate where ModMaster 2000 is installed.  If this PC has never had ModMaster installed, it will default to the c:\modmaster folder. You can override these defaults if necessary by clicking the "Browse" button and navigating to or specifying the desired folder. Note that the system is not designed for both the new and old ModMaster to coexist on the same PC.

  4. Wait for the install to complete.

As the install proceeds, many files are copied and any ModMaster 2000 data files are backed up in the unlikely event that the install fails and a restore of ModMaster 2000 is required.

  5. Reboot if required, then start ModMaster.

When the install is complete, you may be prompted to reboot. Although you can choose 'cancel' so that you don't have to reboot immediately, please do so before attempting to start ModMaster.

You can start ModMaster by clicking the new icon on your desktop or by finding it in the ModMaster group through Start/All Programs.

  6. On first use of ModMaster, an update will be required.

When you start ModMaster for the first time after completing the install, you will get a dialog message telling you that an update is required. Click on the link provided to go to our update page and download/run the latest update.
