When
you want to do a NJ calculation, you must select "NJ" as the
Calculation Type. NCCI is the default. Note that PA/DE and
NJ cannot be combined with each other or with NCCI states in the same
calculation. View
the video clip for sample data entry, or see the WebHelp
for the Company Setup Page for more details which apply to every
calculation type.

You
must provide a payroll code and payroll amounts for each applicable policy
period. Note that the NJ payroll screen is identical in operation to the NCCI
payroll page, except that there is not a field in which to specify the
state.
Small/grouped
losses

Enter
the Total Minor Losses data for this page from the NJ bureau worksheet.
These losses are coded with the letters "TML" under the claim
number on the worksheet. Specify both the policy period and the calendar
year of each loss.
Large/itemized
losses
view the video clip
Losses
not indicated as "TML" should be entered on the Large Loss page.
The data entry for these losses is divided into a required and an optional
section. In the required section, when you enter the medical and indemnity
amounts of the loss, ModMaster calculates the total loss for you.
For
your data entry and viewing convenience, alternate spreadsheet-type views
of the large loss data is available by choosing different options off of
the View button on the toolbar. View
a demonstration of the View button.
You
will most likely obtain the loss data from a NJ mod worksheet, but if your
data comes from an alternate source, be sure to resolve all of the
required fields (such as Employers' Liability Case and Longshore and
Harbor Workers loss designations) so that the mod can be correctly
calculated. View
a discussion about data sources.
NJ
large loss toolbar options are similar to the toolbar options throughout
the system. View
a demonstration of the toolbar options.
Calculation
summary
view the video clip
Key values from the mod calculation are shown. Note that the
labels "A", "F", etc., correspond to the labeling on
the NJ bureau worksheet. If the ModMaster mod differs from the bureau's
mod, you should compare each of these values to see which particular
numbers are different. For example, different "A" values may
indicate that you have mis-entered a payroll value. Different
"I" or "J" numbers may indicate that you have mis-entered
a medical or indemnity value on one of the loss records.
