When
you want to do a Pennsylvania or Delaware calculation, you must select or create
a file. Then on the resulting company setup page, select "PA/DE" as the
Calculation Type. NCCI is the default. Note that PA/DE and
NJ cannot be combined with each other or with NCCI states in the same
calculation.

You
must provide a payroll code and payroll amounts for each applicable policy
period. Note that the PA/DE payroll screen is identical in operation to the NCCI
payroll page, except that you can only select PA or DE for the
state.

Enter
the Total Losses as Reported for each policy period. It is important that
you do not enter Losses as Used from your bureau worksheet.

This
page shows the loss limit for the calculation. Any losses that exceed the
value shown should be individually entered on this page.
For
your data entry and viewing convenience, alternate spreadsheet-type views
of the large loss data is available by choosing different options off of
the "View" button on the toolbar.

Key values from the mod calculation are shown. If the ModMaster mod differs from the bureau's
mod, you should compare each of these values to see which particular
numbers are different. For example, different expected loss values may
indicate that you have mis-entered a payroll value. Different loss totals may indicate that you have mis-entered
a value on one of the loss records.
Reports

Since
detailed loss information is not required for a PA/DE calculation, there
are not as many report options as there are for NCCI calculations.
However, several key concepts are illustrated through the reports that are
available. Some examples are:
-
Bureau-type
report - presents the calculation in a format similar to the
bureau's, which you and your client are probably familiar with.

-
Loss
analysis by policy period report - compares expected vs. actual
losses for visual impact with your client. Can also help you visually
analyze expected future behavior of the mod if a very good or very bad
year will be dropping out of the mod calculation for the next
effective date.

-
Mod
and premium cost analysis report - shows the experience mod
formula, computation of the minimum mod, how the mod affects your
premium, and the specific cost of various losses.
