You arrive at the Reports and Graphs page by clicking the "Next" button from a calculation summary or by clicking "Reports and Graphs" from the pull-down menu.

Using the left selection list

The reports and graphs page has two lists from which you can select reports. The list on the left shows every report available for the current file's calculation method. Select items in this list by clicking on them (hold down the control key and click to make multiple selections), then preview or print the selected reports by clicking the large "Print Preview" or "Print Now" buttons below the list.

The list on the right shows categories of reports that may interest you. Select a category to see the reports that are included, then click the link below that which says "Preview the above reports now".

The print preview toolbar buttons include:

  • Page Setup - within the Page Setup pop-up box, click the "Page" tab to change to a specific printer. Changing margins or columns should not be needed. If you are having trouble with ModMaster default report formats, please contact us.

  • Print This Report - prints only the currently displayed report.

  • Print All Reports - prints all reports that are currently open in preview mode.

  • Zoom (magnifying glass icon) - zooms in and out on the report preview

  • Page buttons - displays specified number of pages within the window

  • Zoom pull-down box - zooms to specified percentage view

  • Word pull-down box - exports to Word or Excel formats, although results may vary. For true exporting of all data, see the ModMaster Utilities Export function.

  • View Next Report - if you chose to preview more than one report, this button will show the next report in the preview list

  • Close - returns to the Reports and Graphs page

Reports for a NCCI-type calculation  
New in 2006:

3-Year Non-ERA Premium Cost of Small Losses

Estimates 3-year premium costs for various small loss amounts based on the manual premium indicated on the Company Setup page. For mods in non-ERA states. See System Administration/ERA Status for more info.
3- Year Premium Cost of Small Losses Estimates 3-year premium cost for various small loss amounts based on the manual premium indicated on the Company Setup page. Compares costs for medical-only claims. See System Administration/ERA Status for more info.
3- Year Premium Cost of Various Losses Three-year costs of losses are estimated for various loss amounts based on the manual premium you indicated on the Company Setup page.
Aggregate Loss Report Shows how variations in total aggregate losses would affect the mod.
Bureau-Type Report Detail and summary information presented in the familiar bureau worksheet format.
Bureau-Type Report, format 2 Detail and summary information presented in the familiar bureau worksheet format.
Cause of Loss Graph How the most common groupings by cause of loss (such as 'failure to follow procedure' or 'repetitive motion injury') contributed to the mod.
Cause of Loss Report How each grouping by cause of loss (such as 'failure to follow procedure' or 'repetitive motion injury') contributed to the mod.
New in 2006:

Combined Mod/ARAP Impact on Premium

Graphically depicts the combined mod/ARAP factors on the estimated premium and controllable savings. This report is only applicable in Massachusetts and for employers in the Assigned Risk Pool in other states.
Detailed Report All input data, limitations applied, summaries by state, and overall calculation summaries.
Upgraded in 2006:

ERM-6 Report

Payroll and loss information in the ERM-6 format for self-insureds to submit data to NCCI. Header information for each page is specified in the Exception Information area of the Company Setup page.
Injury Type Graph Graphically shows the total impact on the mod factor by injury type.  Also shows a table listing the top 10 injury types by total loss amount.
Injury Type Report Groups losses by injury type and shows the total loss amount and impact on the mod by injury type.
Large Loss Entry Data Verification Large losses in the order they were input.
Loss Analysis by Policy Period Graphically depicts actual vs. expected losses by policy period. This report helps identify trends in losses and the relationship between expected and actual losses.
Loss Identifier Graph Graphically shows the total impact on the mod factor by cause of loss.  Also shows a table listing the top 10 causes of loss by total loss amount.
Loss Identifier Report Groups losses by loss identifier and shows the total loss amount and impact on the mod by loss identifier.
Mod Impact on Premium Analysis Graphically depicts the impact that the mod has on the premium paid.  Also shows the average mod, the minimum mod, and the controllable mod.
Mod Snapshot Shows the most important aspects of the mod calculation and analysis on a single page.  This includes the key values, a graph of the average mod, the current mod, the minium mod, and the controllable mod.  An additional graph shows the losses by policy pe
Payroll Entry Data Verification Payroll entries in the order they were input.
Payroll Report Shows how changes in payroll, with the same level of losses, would affect the mod.
Ratio Analysis Shows the ratio between actual and expected primary and excess losses and provides a brief interpretation of the results.
Small Loss Entry Data Verification Small losses in the order they were input.
Specific Large Loss Report Shows how each large/itemized loss affects the mod, and the one year, two year, and three year premium cost of the loss. The loss identifier field (often used for claimant name or SSN) is also listed.
Specific Loss Report Shows how each large/itemized and small/grouped loss entry affects the mod, what the mod would have been without the loss, and the one year, two year, and three year premium cost of the loss.
Summary Report One page mod summary showing the key values in the mod calculation, the mod formula, and how the numbers for this calculation plug into the mod formula.
Texas Bureau-Type Report Texas bureau-style report showing detail and summary.

Top Losses Graph

Graph of top ten losses in this calculation and the total impact the loss had on the mod factor. Impact in terms of premium dollars is also shown if a manual premium estimate was entered on the Company Setup page.

Loss Analysis by Policy Period Graphically depicts actual vs. expected losses by policy period. This report helps identify trends in losses and the relationship between expected and actual losses.
Minimum Mod and Loss Sensitivity The NJ minimum mod and loss sensitivity reports shows in a pie chart and in table format how the minimum mod and each period of losses affected the final mod.
Mod Impact on Premium Analysis Graphically depicts the impact that the mod has on the premium paid. Also shows the average mod, the minimum mod, and the controllable mod.
NJ Bureau-Type Report Detail and summary information presented in the familiar bureau worksheet format.
NJ Detailed Report The NJ detail report features a cover page, a payroll and manual premium subject data report, loss analysis reports on actual losses and modified losses, and a page showing each value used or computed in the calculation.
NJ Mod Summary The NJ summary report highlights the payroll and manual premium subject totals, the actual incurred and modified losses, and the risk summary data for the calculation.
Specific Loss Report The NJ Specific Loss Sensitivity Analysis shows medical and indemnity amounts, the impact on the mod, and the one, two and three-year cost of premiums generated for each itemized loss and group of minor losses.

 

Reports for a PA/DE calculation  
Bureau-Type Report Detail and summary information presented in the familiar bureau worksheet format.
Detailed Report The PA/DE detail report includes a cover page, payroll and expected loss factors and values, a loss analysis of Part I and Part II losses, and a summary page which highlights expected losses, actual losses, and computed factors.
Expected Losses by Policy Period The PA/DE Policy Period Expected Loss Analysis shows in a pie chart and in table format how Part I losses as used affected the expected losses for each year in the calculation.
Loss Analysis by Policy Period The PA/DE Expected Loss Analysis shows in a bar chart and in table format how Part I losses as used compared to expected losses for each year in the calculation.
Minimum Mod and Loss Sensitivity The PA/DE Minimum Mod and Loss Sensitivity report shows in a pie chart and in table format how Part I and Part II losses respectively impacted the mod. It also show the value of the minimum mod.
Mod & Premium Cost Analysis One page mod summary showing the key values in the mod calculation, the mod formula, and what the minimum mod tells you about loss control opportunities.
Mod Summary The PA/DE summary highlights expected losses, actual losses, and computed factors for the calculation.

 

This page can be printed with no right-margin overflow by using the Page Setup command
to set the left margin to 1.0 and the right margin to 0.5 inches.
