WorkCompEdge
Named "Best of Show" in Competition
Brentwood, TN,
January 19, 2009 --
WorkCompEdge.com has been awarded Best of Show in the 2008
Technical Communication Competition sponsored by the middle
Tennessee chapter of the Society for Technical Communication
(STC). The site, which
helps
employers reduce workers compensation costs and improve
productivity, received top honors from the judges for being
"extremely well-planned, intelligently thought-out, and
perfectly executed."
Developed by
Specific Software Solutions and SIGMA Actuarial Consulting
Group, WorkCompEdge "makes learning the material easy," the
judges' statement went on to say, and offers "entertaining
and impactful visual ideas." Videos on the WorkCompEdge site
also received an award for excellence in promotions.
"We designed WorkCompEdge with busy
agents and employers in mind," said Tim Coomer, CEO of Specific
Software. "We are so honored and excited that the site's
friendly tone, ease of navigation and step-by-step design
appeals to our peers in communication as well." Other
organizations in the competition were from a tri-state area and
included Lexmark, Square D, Schneider, and the DOD.
Completed in 2008, WorkCompEdge
development was assisted by Nashville-area companies Tanner
Corporate Services and ICGLink, Inc., who were also cited on the
awards. The site, which has also been recognized by LexisNexis
for its leading blog, will now be going on to the international level
