Work Comp Site Offers Reduced Cost
License in Response to Market Conditions
BRENTWOOD, Tenn., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/
-- As A.M. Best and other industry experts call for the workers
compensation market to remain down through at least 2010, one
company is aggressively adjusting its product pricing to help
agencies move beyond low bid mentality in work comp insurance sales.
Officials from WorkCompEdge have
announced a new Agency Plus license especially for insurance
agencies to use for internal training and coordination of sales and
service activities associated with helping employers control work
comp costs. WorkCompEdge.com delivers workers compensation training,
tools and cost-saving strategies in fifteen different areas,
including hiring practices, safety, the premium audit, mod
verification and analysis, medical clinic relationships,
return-to-work, and more.
At $1,000 per year, the new Agency
Plus license is a tenth of the cost of the site's original minimum
license for insurance agencies.
"Our previous license options assumed
that an agency would use the site and also provide their clients
with access to WorkCompEdge," says Specific Software CEO Tim Coomer.
"But we've listened and learned that many agencies weren't willing
or able to assume these more significant costs, especially in the
current market. We believe this new option will attract agencies
who, at this price, can easily get into the site and take advantage
of even one module to enrich their sales and service process. Or
they can justify the license as a marketing expense, since they'll
appear on our site's AgentFinder."
Agencies can still add site access
for their clients on a per-user basis, or subscribe to a
higher-priced exclusive license which includes custom marketing
support and access for all their clients.
WorkCompEdge, which was recognized by
LexisNexis for its leading blog (http://www.workcompedgeblog.com)
and has won awards from the Society for Technical Communication, was
launched a year ago by Specific Software Solutions, the developer of
ModMaster software for experience rating mod computation and
analysis.
